THE WHOLE ENCHALADA

We drove the Lasal Mountain Loop to Warner Lake and got on our bikes.
We were probably a week or two late on the leaves but what was left was still gorgeous!
Before getting on the bikes we played by the lake for a bit.  It was cold enough that the lake was slightly frozen.
The boys had fun breaking the layer of ice and watching the fish swim in the clear water.
 My adventure boys.
 Always running (and falling).
We found two cattle dogs running with their "parents" on horseback.  Canyon fell in love instantly and the dogs could sense his calm sweet spirit.
This is the trail we started our bike ride on and it was so beautiful.
 The start of our ride.
It was very challenging with rocks to navigate over and steep hills to climb.
Stopping to take in the views.
We were so proud of the boys for making it to this point.  It was certainly the highlight of the day.
This bike trailer was unbelievable on this trail.  Most of the trail was very narrow and I hardly noticed it behind me.  August loves the bumpy trail and is fearless.  The other boys would not have enjoyed this:)
Canyon recently got a new bike and did amazing with it.
He is patient, determined, focused, and loves being outdoors.
 The Aspen trees were massive!
Sawyer is learning how to move past his fears and frustrations.  It can sometimes be tough in the moment but each time is a learning experience for him to figure out how to release it and move on.
We finished the ride by heading back up the road to the Lake.
A mini mountain made out of ice in the lake:)
On our way back we scouted out Kens Lake.  We saw this coyote on our way:)
Kens Lake has many petroglyphs that we will explore on another day but we got to see this one as we were heading back out.  Looking forward to what tomorrow brings.
