We began our day in Green Mountain Falls at this fun stick house!
Because there is no parking anywhere near the trail head, you need to park in town and walk up to it. We took the Belvidere Avenue route to the trailhead.
Before you start climbing there is a fun little waterfall at the beginning of the hike.
It takes us a long time since our little guy loves to hike too.
The trail is moderately tough and climbs aggressively through many switchbacks.
After the climb you will come out to this beautiful meadow (Garden of Eden) that follows the creek.
We found a nice cozy rock to have lunch before heading back down.
Including the hike up to the trailhead we hiked about 5 miles today and this little guy would do all of it if we let him. To save time, we packed him on the way down and let him walk the last 1.5 miles to the truck.
Brothers
My boys.
Canyon and Sawyer are great hikers. It was hard to keep up with them! They enjoy telling us how to navigate through the rocks and finding us the best routes.
My leaders.
August spotted a huge "weed."
Proud of my little adventurers.
Greg and I were smoked after this hike and they never once complained.
