THE ROCK THAT CAUGHT MY FACE

 I took the boys to Palmer Lake Reservoir today and we hiked up to the first reservoir.

 Sawyer and August brought their nets just in case we saw a fish to catch!

 We made it to our favorite spot without too much trouble.

My boys

 We headed out and before leaving I wanted to climb on a boulder to get one more picture and my foot slipped and I caught myself with my face.  It rattled me for sure but I was so grateful I wasn't hurt more.  My boys were so calm as they watched the blood gush out of my eye and a nice woman stopped to help me clean it up.  This is the aftermath and once I got home I had it derma bonded up and now the bruising comes.

 Heading back to the car.  Canyon went into protective mode and made sure that he took care of his brothers while I cautiously walked back to the truck.

 He is my care giver for sure.  

Sitting here now trying to type with an ice pack on my eye, all I can think about is how incredibly blessed I am to be their mom.  The joy they bring to me is unmeasurable.
