SPRUCE MOUNTAIN LOOP

We found a fun little trail to do today and it was nice and quiet...which we like.
We did the 5.5 mile mountain top loop and the boys rocked it!
August did the entire loop on his own.
The trail climbs to where the loop begins.  It's about 1.6 miles to the loop.
 The loop is 2.3 miles
August ran so much of the trail and thankfully only face planted once.  It's inevitable anytime his little 3 year old legs start going.
Before we hit the loop we found a little lookout and had a snack.
While they snacked, I searched for things to spell the word LOVE...because it's my favorite thing to do:)
 Starting the Loop.
The landscape up here is very beautiful.
Pikes Peak is tough to see in some of the photos but it made an appearance a few times on the trail.
 August flying high!
 Strong boys!
 Big brother lovin.
On the loop, we wrote a ton of messages to the other hikers.  It was super fun.
 More gorgeous scenery.
August found the "best smelling" flower on the hike.  The wildflowers were EVERYWHERE and we enjoyed the colors along side the trail.
 YES!!!
 PLEASE!!!
 Always my favorite view!!
Finishing up with endless energy!  We were super proud of this little guy and his joy for adventure feeds our soul!  Happy Memorial Day Weekend from the Cannell's.
