COTTONWOOD LAKE, BUENA VISTA, AND ST ELMO

We went on a color hunt adventure today and we had a great time exploring some of our favorite places.  We stopped at the pass to view the colors before heading to Buena Vista.
On the way, we drove through Divide, CO where the colors were just starting to peak.
We took a little walk on the trails at Wilkerson Pass to view more colors.

Before heading to Cottonwood Lake we had lunch in Buena Vista at our favorite gear store (The Trailhead) and enjoyed the food they had there as well.
 Driving back to Cottowood Lake.
We took a walk around the lake and the colors from afar were gorgeous.

 Exploring
The boys spotted a little creature in the water and we also spotted some rainbow trout  near the shore.

 Driving back to St Elmo
We always stop here if we are in the area...mostly to feed chipmunks hahahaha, but we also enjoy the atmosphere of the ghost town.
 More colors.
The boys love feeding the very friendly chipmunks.
 Our calm spirit boy.
August wasn't as patient as the other boys to wait for the chipmunks to come to him, but he did get his moment of joy!  We headed back to Buena Vista for ice cream after and a bite to eat.  We could easily reside in Buena Vista...our kinda town for sure.
