We took a short little vacation to Fruita and Grand Junction to scope out the area knowing that we may call this place home in the near future.
We stopped at Twin Lakes on the way and Independence Ghost Town.
Twin Lakes
After visiting Twin Lakes we drove to Aspen and got on the bikes and rode along a beautiful trail that led us to downtown Aspen. We spent the day enjoying the area and then headed to Colorado National Monument for the night.
We got in late and were able to get the tent up quick in the dark and fell fast asleep! The next morning we watched the sun come up inside the Monument.
We drove up to Grand Mesa and saw some of the most beautiful Aspens.

We camped at the Monument the entire time and enjoyed waking up to the most beautiful sunrise each morning.

We were able to enjoy the Kokopelli trail system everyday we were there!

Our last day in Fruita, Greg had some interview stuff to wrap up so the boys and me enjoyed the trails one last time.
