A few weeks ago we did this ride and missed out on seeing some rams but today we hit the jackpot!! Right away we stumbled on a big herd and saw a few rams in the crowd.
Since they were right on the road we snuck by after admiring them for awhile.
Beautiful creatures.
These 2 were in sync with whatever they were doing??
We would not see any others until our way back.
This ride is just over 12 miles but easy and great for the kids.
It follows the South Platte River and the scenery is stunning.
I see hearts everywhere...seriously. This one was high on the hillside and I believe it's just a shadow.

Quick picnic stop. This was about the time the temp dropped about 20 degrees.

We hauled butt back to the truck. This was a moment of sun we took in!!
I somehow managed to see this beautiful monster and had to stop.
He was all alone and far away but managed to get this pose. Blown away.
Towards the end I spotted another herd and climbed a bit and got one of the 3 to look my way. What an amazing ride we had.
