It's been a month since we've gotten out to explore and we picked a beautiful Colorado day to do it.
Sawyer has a goal to climb pikes peak this year so we thought this would be a great place to start training.
It was 60 degrees and we all ended up carrying our jackets.
The trail had some bad icy spots on it but we managed to get through it without any injuries...maybe some sore butts, but thankfully we have some tough boys.
We climbed for an hour and then turned around so we got in a great hike.
Sawyer would have climbed to the top but the higher we went the icier it got.
We were grateful for the exposed areas and dry trail.
We live in beautiful place.
Greg and I got our workout in taking turns carrying August. He took too many falls on this one and it eventually broke his spirit.
Boys like to push the boundaries:)
Our next adventure will be seeing how far we can climb the Manitou Incline. Hopefully we will have the same great weather! It was a fun day outside doing what we love! We finished our adventure having a big huge bowl of Pho Soup!
