Our baby is 3 years old and it's always hard to believe how fast time goes by. We had a great time celebrating his special day on Sunday and Monday!
Sunday we went downtown and played at a park and went to a special toy store and picked out some fun gifts for August. After that we went to the Broadmoor Hotel and had fun playing games and eating the worlds best Mac n Cheese:)
Greg and August using "the force" to open the doors at Target.
August used some of his birthday money to buy a toy!
Monday morning he woke up to his birthday gifts and balloons...he loves balloons:)
His brothers were so happy to help him open his gifts.
When you turn 3 at our house it means no more diapers. We've done this with all 3 boys, and I'm telling you it works. August has been the easiest of the 3 and since his birthday he is 100% potty trained.
August wanted to go to the zoo and feed the giraffes so we joined the rest of Colorado Springs that day (memorial day) and braved the crowds!
It's such a special place and despite the chaos we had lots of fun.
Posing
My favorite picture of the day. I love this for so many reasons but mostly because it's his natural expression and he's so full of joy. He loves the carousal and I'm grateful for capturing this beautiful moment.
Our next adventure at the zoo was to find the dip n dots so we climbed and climbed until we found the little truck selling them. We left right after and beat the storm by about 30 seconds after getting to the truck.
I attempted to make cake pops for his birthday but they turned into very mushy cake balls, but they still enjoyed them.
Happy 3rd birthday Auggie...we love you so much!
May your wishes come true.
